F1 2025 Team Liveries Ranked: What liveries are a hit and who’s missed the mark?
F1 hosted their F1 75 live event on Tuesday evening where all ten teams unveiled their 2025 liveries at the 02 Arena in London. The event was a hit online with many fans lauding the show, which highlighted F1 as the pinnacle of motorsport. However, the livery launch season often divides fan opinions and can cause quite a stir online.
So we thought, why not play into that and rank all the 2025 Liveries from worst to best. Check out our rankings below.
10. Alpine 2/10
The Alpine livery has produced plenty of differing opinions with many loving the livery whilst others find it less appealing to the eye. I tend to agree with the latter, for me the design looks basic and the BWT sponsorship doesn’t match the main blue which causes the livery to look just bland. The potential on offer for Alpine with the blue and black base colours and then the pink from their BWT sponsorship leaves a lot to be desired with their 2025 design.
9. Aston Martin 4/10
The Aston Martin was unveiled in full James Bond mode, which left people guessing the design would be sleeker, and there might finally be a change in design. Instead, we got the racing green and carbon fibre and that was it. The Aston is similar to the Alpine, where they have so much room to play with, and this design just feels as if it isn’t making the most of what they have at their disposal, and instead, a frankly boring design.
8. Williams 5/10
There's only one word to describe the Williams car and that is blue. It’s just very blue and quite bland, to be frank. It would’ve been so much better if there was just a bit of difference. The shakedown livery, which we saw a more pixelated design, looked ten times better than the official livery, which is sadly becoming a common theme in F1 liveries.
7. Sauber 6/10
The Sauber has been dubbed the “flow-vis” car after it looks like the team’s applied too much flow-vis paint, but I’m a fan of the design. The obvious stand out is the huge amount of carbon fibre on the rear of the car, but this might be the one case where the carbon fibre works well with the design. A slightly different approach with the green and this would’ve been much higher on the list.
6. Mercedes 6.5/10
The Mercedes has gone with much more black as the main colour and I think it works so well with the turquoise Petronas line running the length of the car. The slight gradient into the silver on the nose cone is also a very smart touch and makes the car look just that bit better. Saying all that, I do understand why some people are calling it bland.
5. Red Bull 7.5/10
I am the first to hate the copy-and-paste livery train, but this year I think Red Bull has done an amazing job with it. Of course, there will be people who oppose it and say they should’ve gone for a different design, but if it isn’t broken, why change it? The Red Bull car is a marketing board with enough downforce to drive upside down, so why would they change what works for them?
4. McLaren 8/10
Another copy-and-paste livery but again there’s no need for McLaren to change their mainstay livery. They will more than likely run their chrome livery again at some point in the season, which is what fans want them to run full-time, so they have those grounds covered, so why would they go for something different? Their livery is outstanding, the papaya and the carbon go together perfectly.
3. HAAS 8.5/10
HAAS have smashed it this year. For a team with arguably the most boring colour scheme, they have managed to make their livery look incredible. The balance of all the colours doesn’t cause any to be overpowered and overall they’ve got a nicely balanced designed livery.
2. Ferrari 9.5/10
The design team at Ferrari have smashed it out of the park this year. The choice of a darker red looks stunning, and an unpopular opinion, but the white works with the rest of the design. A few more white accents overall and this would be top, but Ferrari’s livery this year is absolutely lovely.
1. VCARB 10/10
What a design turnaround from VCARB. One of the worst liveries last season to this absolute work of art. It gives Turkey 2021 white bull vibes and it’s just a perfect livery. The use of blue for the VISA logo and the small blue bulls at the back of the car are some incredibly nice touches to an already gorgeous livery.
