Top 5 British Boxing Prospects to watch in 2025
World Title boxing is in a brilliant place at the moment, with Undisputed title fights and the fights fans want to see being made, boxing fans are being treated to this generation's best facing off with one another.
With that we need a strong crop of talent coming up to replace them and this list will look to name the top five that Britain has to offer on the come up.
1. Giorgio Visioli (6-0) 5 KOs
The Guildford-born Super Featherweight has made some waves in his short career so far, making his pro debut at the back end of 2023 on the Katie Taylor vs Chantelle Cameron 2 undercard, picking up an impressive 1st Round TKO. Since then, the 21-year-old has only gone the distance on one occasion in a six-round contest against the more experienced Tampela Maharusi.
Visioli has an extremely fan-friendly style as a technically talented southpaw whose finishes often come from flash knockdowns and impressive combinations. With one fight already in 2025 on a Matchroom NXTGEN show, Eddie Hearn will certainly be keen to get his fighter out as often as possible this year.
2. Luke McCormack (2-0) 2 KOs
The McCormack twins are a pair of very talented brothers, who both showed their talent in the Team GB Boxing Team, Pat picking up Silver at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and Luke understandably being knocked out by eventual Gold Medalist Andy Cruz. Since turning over to the pro ranks Luke has picked up two wins, and two knockouts in his two fights in 2024.
The Queensberry-promoted Super Lightweight has had some delays up to this point but will certainly be looking to move fast through what is a top-class division domestically. Unlike his brother, McCormack is an aggressive and spiteful fighter and has been described by his trainer Ben Davison as 'a wrecking ball'.
One to watch this year with plans for big fights, as soon as possible, and certainly not a fighter who will look to make use of every pro round available to him.
3. Lucas Roehrig (2-0) 2 KOs
With the backing of George Groves, and having shown his talent on Sky Sports Boxing in January, Lucas Roehrig has already made a bit of a name for himself in the Cruiserweight division. With a debut win over English Title contender Joel Mcintyre, it is clear that Roehrig isn't looking to wait around to push himself up the rankings.
The 21-year-old already occupies the 12th UK ranking on Boxrec in his division after just two professional bouts. Roehrig combines impressive power with some technically sound boxing from the GB setup as he looks to make a dent in one of the UK's most difficult weight classes.
4. Taylor Bevan (2-0) 2 KOs
Any fighter that comes out of Wales and impresses has an extra level of noise around them in that particular part of the UK, and Matchroom's Taylor Bevan is no different with an impressive pair of 2nd round stoppages in just 3 months. Bevan impressed as a part of the Team GB setup but decided to turn professional after missing out on the Olympics during qualification for Paris 2024.
Bevan is a powerful Super-Middleweight who has shown an impressive range of different shots on route to his two finishes in his career, in his pro debut in particular smelling the finish and executing it sharply. As with all fighters at this stage of their career, the 24-year-old will want to be as active as possible across the rest of 2025.
Bevan no doubt will have high hopes and dreams to join the likes of Joe Cordina, Steve Robinson and most recently Steve Robinson as World Champions out of Wales.
5. William Crolla (7-0) 6 KOs
The younger brother of Former World Champion Anthony Crolla, William Crolla has impressed hugely since his pro debut in 2024 where he was dropped before picking up a points decision win. Trained by his sibling Crolla has since picked up 6 consecutive stoppages without leaving the 2nd round.
With an aggressive style, powerful punches from the southpaw stance and a well-thought-of family name the 26-year-old is already a big name in Manchester that gets fans on their feet every time he entered the squared circle.
With a first-round knockout this weekend in the new Coop Live in Manchester and another fight booked for the upcoming NXTGEN show in Altringham headlined by Pat Brown, any time Will Crolla's name is on the bill it is advised you pay attention.
