Arsenal vs Tottenham North London Derby 24/25 Preview
The second instalment of the North London Derby takes place on Wednesday with Arsenal looking to get back on track versus out-of-form Tottenham at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners have had a difficult week, after last Tuesday’s 2-0 defeat against Newcastle in the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg was followed up by a penalty shootout defeat in the FA Cup third round versus Manchester United.
Spurs, meanwhile, have found their minor break away from league action helpful as they defeated Liverpool 1-0 in the first leg of the Carabao Cup final following this up with a 3-0 win over National League side Tamworth in the cup. However, the part-time side took them to extra-time.
Previous Meeting
These two last met in September as Arsenal took the North London bragging rights on enemy territory, as Gabriel’s header from a corner gave the Gunners three points at the expense of Spurs.
Tottenham have found wins hard to come by in this fixture with their last coming in May 2022 as a Harry Kane brace and Heung-Min Son goal gave Spurs a 3-0 victory, ending Arsenal chances of Champions League qualification.
Spurs’ last win at the Emirates stretches back to November 2010 as Harry Redknapp’s side staged a second-half comeback to win 3-2.
