Dutch Darts Masters 2025 Preview and Predictions

Darts is back with action coming thick and fast following last weekend's Bahrain Darts Masters. Stephen Bunting was victorious in the first World Series Event of the year defeating Gerwyn Price in the final.

Last year's tournament saw Michael Van Gerwen take the title with Luke Littler finishing as the runner up. This year sees a few new faces joining the action to take on eight Benelux representatives.

Following a change in the PDC order of merit this years line up sees Chris Dobey and Stephen Bunting replace Peter Wright and Michael Smith as the PDC representatives.

The Line Up

16 players will battle it out to become the Dutch Darts Master 2025. As mentioned, there are 8 representatives from the PDC and 8 from Benelux. Only one change from last week's Bahrain Darts Masters sees Michael Van Gerwen replace Peter Wright.

The full line up for this weekends event includes;

PDC Representatives

  • Stephen Bunting

  • Gerwyn Price

  • Luke Littler

  • Chris Dobey

  • Luke Humphries

  • Nathan Aspinall

  • Rob Cross

  • Michael Van Gerwen

Benelux Representatives

  • Danny Noppert

  • Dimitri van den Bergh

  • Dirk van Duijvenbode

  • Gian van Veen

  • Raymond van Barneveld

  • Jermaine Wattimena

  • Kevin Doets

  • Richard Veenstra

The draw for the event is set to be made this week with some big potential meetings set to take place. We could see the likes of Littler and van Veen doing battle, or even Van Gerwen taking on van Barneveld.

It’s an incredibly talented pool of players with the competition set to be played at a high standard as all involved look to make a strong start to 2025

Prize Money

There is a total of £100,000 set to be paid out at this weekend's event. Those who exit in round one will still receive £1,750, however the winner will receive an impressive £30,00.

The full breakdown of prize money is as follows;

Winner - £30,000

Runner-Up - £16,000

Semi Final - £10,000 (x2)

Quarter Final - £5,000 (x4)

Round 1 - £1,750 (x8)

Where to Watch?

The Dutch Darts Masters will be live on ITV4 in the UK, with the option to also watch on PDC TV as well. DAZN will be showing the event in Switzerland, Germany and Austria, with global fans being able to tune in to PDC TV.

Action gets underway on Friday 24th January and concludes a day later on Saturday 25th January. Both sessions begin and end in the evening of both days.

Predictions: Can Bunting Go Back To Back?

Will Stephen Bunting win back to back World Series titles to start 2025? The Bullet was incredibly impressive in Bahrain and has every chance of succeeding again.

However, we’re opting to go elsewhere with our predicted winner of the event in the Netherlands. Our predicted winner of the Dutch Darts Masters is Gerwyn Price

The Iceman finished as the runner up last weekend and was playing some incredible darts. Defeating Littler in his run to the final, Price’s new setup and his hunger to win will be tough to beat this weekend.

Looking at some possible outsiders for the event, Wattimena and van Veen are two names that cannot be ignored. Van Gerwen is also one to watch in this tournament with the home crowd looking to push him on to retain his title.
